Do You Really Love Jesus?

now i ask you

I know that lots of people say that they love Jesus, but in reality they don’t. Even the Lord knows this to be true. In Isaiah 29:13, it states,”Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:”. Also, Matthew 15:8-9, says the following, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Here’s a test on that

Let’s say you hear someone speaking horribly about someone close to you (wife, husband, mother, father, etc.). What would you do? Would you defend that person? Would you just ignore it?  Most likely, you will, at the very least, let it be known where you stand on that particular situation. You will not just stand by and let someone just drag your loved ones name through the mud. I surely wouldn’t. A decent person wouldn’t anyway.

So, let’s say you are listening to a song or watching a movie, that just blatantly blasphemes the Lord. What do you do? Do you stop listening to that song or stop watching that movie? Or, do you continue on with it and make excuses as to why it’s ok?

You may say that God does not need to be defended. But if I say, that when/if you love someone, it is not an inconvenience to defend them. I defend the Lord at all cost. I encourage you to do the same. Turn off that demonic music, don’t watch that satanic movie, stop trying to be a pretty little liar. Follow the truth, Follow Jesus. Repent, be baptized, and be saved in the name of Jesus!

Are You A Stumbling Block To Other’s?

Stumbling Blocks2

We all know the general meaning of a stumbling block. Pretty self-explanatory, right?

In the midst of a series of laws regulating the treatment of others, we find “Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:14). Obviously, putting a rock or brick in front of a blind person is cruel, but the New Testament takes the practical adage and turns it into a spiritual metaphor.
After Peter rebuked Jesus, denying the crucifixion would take place, Jesus said, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s” (Matthew 16:23). Peter, under the influence of Satan, tried to distract Jesus from what He had come to do. He tried to make Jesus “stumble” in His path to the crucifixion. Paul reiterates the idea: “…but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness” (Corinthians 1:23). The idea that the Messiah would be crucified was a stumbling block to the Jews—something that tripped up their beliefs of what the Messiah would be like.

But what does it mean to be a stumbling block, according to God’s Word?……..

Most of the time, a “stumbling block” refers to something or someone who keeps another from a relationship with God. An unsaved person can do this knowingly and/or unknowingly. In Matthew 18:5-7, Jesus says, “And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!” Just as it would be better to chop off one’s hand than to sin (Matthew 18:8), in the Kingdom perspective, it would be better to drown than lead a child into sin. Similarly, in Romans 14:13, Paul points out that God alone judges; we are not to judge others but be concerned that we are not the ones leading them into the sin we’re so concerned about.

Does God put stumbling blocks in front of us?……

proverbs

Those who are not obedient to God’s Word, will indeed come upon stumbling blocks. Though God is a loving and merciful God, He is also a jealous God. He does not want to share you with wickedness. Ezekiel 3:20 says, “Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” Most people will confuse God’s judgement with the work of Satan. When you are born again, you will be able to see the difference in the two.

How do we refrain from putting stumbling blocks before other’s?……

MotivationSteppingStonesQuote

Refraining from being a stumbling block means not leading another into sin. How we accomplish this depends on the situation and the hearts of those around us. The security we have in God’s love and provision, both now and eternally, allows us to show concern to those who are weaker—those who need specific encouragement to understand who God is. In some situations, that means living in those freedoms to exemplify that God is a God of grace. In others, it means disciplining ourselves to building up weaker believers and not pushing them into a liberty they’re not ready for. (When I first became born again, I had a pushy attitude and it pushed more people away from God) But, always, it means not encouraging another to act in a way the Bible specifically identifies as sin.

My Testimony

BEFORE I ACCEPTED CHRIST

Being baptized, at the age of 5, seems like a pretty good start in life. However, it was not. Even though I was raised in a church going family and baptized, it all meant nothing. Not saying that praising the Lord is meaningless. Not understanding the point of it, makes it a waste of time. Had I been taught the bible properly I would have been on a different path much sooner in like. Since things didn’t work out that way, I took the path that the rest of the world took.

As a teenager, my life revolved around beauty. I loved fashion. You could never catch me without my make-up, jewelry, hair done, sunglasses, or the latest new clothes. At the age of 14, I obtained a job just so I could keep up with these things. I would get compliments constantly. People would always tell me that I should be a model. Since I was so self centered, I set out to do just that. I went out for several modeling auditions around the age of 16. Since I was too young, to do these things on my own, my older sister would even try out with me. I would get offered these jobs, but would have to turn them down. “Why?”, you asked. Well, my mother would let me audition, with the hopes that I would not get the job. I can’t tell you how much I hated her for that. So I kind of put that dream on hold until I was old enough to do it on my own. And when that time came, I tried out for America’s Next Top Model. I was entered into one of their contest to determine whether or not I could be on the show. This contest would have the world judge your photo on the internet. I actually made it through two of three rounds. I felt like a beauty queen. Hey after all, I had almost had the chance to be America’s Next Top Model.

However, I kind of lost the desire for modeling. I’ve had modeling agents telling me all that I had to change, in order to make it in the business. I’d have to lose a little weight here and there, (just note, that I was already only 115 pounds), I’d have to get my teeth fixed, hair cut, new hair put in, chemical peels….just all sorts of craziness. I was very depressed for some time after that because I was basically told that I was not as beautiful as I had set out to be. Pretty soon, I was sabotaging my relationship with my boyfriend. After having children, I was unintentionally sabotaging my children. I was still hooked on beauty and what other people thought of me. I was connected to the world. I was an idol worshiper. I loved everything that the world loved; the movies, tv shows, clothes, unrighteously judging people, the music, all of it.

HOW I RECEIVED CHRIST

One day, I uploaded a video ,of my three year old singing a Katy Perry song, to facebook. While everyone marveled over how cute it was, my sister (the same one who went on auditions with me) sent me a message about the video. This is the actual message:

Hey April,
I wanted to reach out to you concerning that video that you posted…
First are you aware of the illuminati, or what these secular artist are involved in? It is very satanic and they have to become witches to get in the industry; therefore they send forth spirits that possess their listeners.
My niece, your daughter looked possessed in that video! Did you see her eyes and her face and those sexual looking moves she made? It grieved me when I saw it,
then I asked my kids to watch it and I did not say a word, and they all said “oh man, “She looks possessed”

I have never heard of the illuminati. So naturally, I started to research it. I came across all sorts of demonic information. During my weeks of research, I would begin to have odd dreams. I would dream of giant chess pieces being moved around, airplanes dangling off power lines, just craziness. So I told my sister these things, and she told me, that I have to also read the bible and pray, or those things will continue to happen. Not knowing where to start, I opened the bible and chose to read The Book Of Revelation. As I became more comfortable, I moved through the bible in a manner that only the Lord could have shown me.

I did hesitate a little before completely surrendering my life to Christ. I started to think, “Ok, so if I am just nice to people, and if I donate to or help people, then I’m cool”. I didn’t want to give up my music, cursing, and tv. But, I continued to read the bible. The more I read, the more the truth hit me like bricks. I realized that I have to give up EVERYTHING if I didn’t want to go to hell. Hell is real. Finally, after years of cleansing, I surrendered all to Him. When I held on to my sins, things never, I mean never went right. My family always had a hard time paying bills, we would get evicted and have to struggle to get a new place. Never had money for gas, could not keep a job, things were just a mess. But since I’ve been born again, my family is stress free. We know that the Lord will work things out on his time. And As long as I continue to be faithful to Him, he promise to be faithful to me.

AFTER I ACCEPTED CHRIST

The lord has made significant changes in my life. I am very careful with the things that my family and I are exposed to. I have an intimate relationship with Jesus and the Father in Heaven. I’ve dropped all idol worship: Satanic feast days that the Lord hates, traditions of heathens, fornication, vanity, cursing. Of course, I battle against sin on a daily basis. That is why I have an advocate with the Lord, and that advocate is Jesus. I push forward daily in Christ because I want to be worthy to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven when He returns. Nothing or no one is Greater that Jesus.

I would like to thank you for reading my testimony. I pray that has been encouraging. Please share your testimony with others. May the Lord Bless You!

1 John 5:10 King James Version

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

The Star of David? The Star of Israel?

star

As I learn, I like to share. For the longest time, I have thought this star to be a good thing. It can be associated with being the Star of David or the representation of Israel. Well I was told that this star is an evil symbol. So, instead of arguing with the person, I did some research on my own. I found out that it is, in fact, an evil symbol. I would like to thank the Lord for opening my eye’s and ears to his wisdom. There is a link attached that has the info on this symbol. Grace and Peace to you all.

I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

love of money1

A few weeks ago, I told someone, that by celebrating Christmas (and many other so-called “holiday’s”) they in turn are worshiping Satan. Christmas is deeply rooted with pagan traditions that can be dated back long before Jesus was born. They responded with a rather odd question, followed by deceived statements. The question/statement was, “Well, you use money don’t you? Money has all kinds of satanic symbols on it. That means you worship the Devil, too because money is evil”. So I would like to clear up a few things.

1. Paul stated in 1 Timothy 6:10, ” For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

a)This implies that all immorality and wickedness is caused by people loving money, not by money itself.

b)This scripture has been misquoted continuously by saying, “Money is the root of all evil”.

c)Money is not evil. Money is an absolute good. It allows us to exchange things of value without barter, and that makes life easier for all of us.

2. I want to mention a few reasons that will back up the scripture.

a)One of the saddest commentaries of our time is money-hungry Christians. The sad truth is that most of the professed Christians who have ministries today wouldn’t lift a finger for God if they weren’t getting paid to do it or selling something to make money. They have their reward. (1 Tim 6:3-5)

b)1 Corinthians 9:14 states, “Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.”

c)The whole idea about making money in today’s world has changed completely. When we talk with our friends about making money, do we tell them how far we would go just to make that extra dollar. Most of the time we do not tell them what we would really do to make money. Money has become so important to everyone sometimes the best of friends will try to make money off each other.

d)When people have a special hunger just to have more and more money, they are not really happy. These kind of people want other people to think they are happy. I know that everyone wants every thing they can get and still be able to pay for it.

e)The love of money can cause a person to be deceitful and harm other people. They lie, cheat, steal, and literally kill for it.

f)When your hunger for money makes you hurt other people, there will always be someone trying to do the same thing to you.

That’s just to name a few. I would like to end this bit of information, with scripture to help on the subject. The bible can be easily misinterpreted, but if you are a child of God, it can just as easily be understood correctly. Grace and Peace

1 TIMOTHY 6:2-10

And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Feast of the Lord

feast of the Lord

Leviticus 23 King James Version (KJV)

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of theLord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the Lord.

13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.

14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.

17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto theLord.

18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the Lord.

19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.

21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lordyour God.

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.

29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.

35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

38 Beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.

39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

The Souls Of The Unrighteous

hell

I once believed that after a person dies, they were immediately judged and either sent to Heaven or Hell. After being born again and reading God’s word, I’ve learned that this is not true. Why? Saying that one is immediately judged after death would be to say that Jesus’ second return of judgment has already happened. In fact, that would mean that his second judgment was centuries ago. So, where does unrighteous souls go, after death? Before I answer that, I must first define a few words and places.

The Lake of Fire?

The Lake of Fire, is a literal place of everlasting fire that was originally created by God as a place of punishment for Satan and the angels that followed him in his rebellion against God (Mat. 25:41-Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:). Even though Hell was created for Satan and the angels who followed him, the unsaved of humanity from all ages will be with them in this place of torment (Mat. 13:42 – And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. )

While there is no one in the Lake of Fire at this time, it will one day hold a vast multitude. Revelation 19:20 and Revelation 21:8 states who will be cast into Hell and the order; Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

HELL/SHEOL/HADES

These words refer to a place of temporary torment. What we mean by this is that, at the time of death, the souls of the lost go directly to Hades, where they suffer in torment until the time of the Great White Throne Judgment when they will be resurrected and cast into the Lake of Fire. The souls of all the lost who have already died are presently there and those who die in their sins immediately go there to join them.

Revelation 20:13-15 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

DEATH/GRAVE

In this sense, death, or the grave, claims the physical part of man, the body, while Sheol/Hades claims the separated, spiritual part of man, the soul. Psalm 16:10: For Thou wilt not leave my soul in Hell(Sheol); neither will Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.”

Because of the curse of sin, we will all face the reality of physical death. We can’t evade it by our own power, nor can the soul of any man or woman escape from Sheol/Hades on their own.

For those “in Christ,” death has no sting and Sheol/Hades has no victory because their body and soul will be united in a resurrection unto life (see I Cor. 15:19,20,51-57). This is not so for those who die without Christ for they face a resurrection unto judgment, which is referred to as the second death” (Rev. 20:13,14; 21:8).

(This is only my interpretation of my studies so far)

Luke warm Christians/False Prophets

There are so many people, who say they are Christians, living in sin today, and actually believe it is ok with God, because so many of the preachers today are not preaching the biblical truth, they are more interested in a large congregation. Sinners don’t want to be reminded of their sin, and would stay away from church if the preacher preached the truth.

1 John 1:8-10 KJV

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Revelation 3:16 KJV

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

April – Child of God

Judging

Who are you to judge?

We hear it all the time. The first scripture that comes to mind is Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. What about the other verses that follow? Matthew 7:2-3;

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

This means that God will hold you to the same standards that you hold others to. You can not talk about what someone else is doing, when you are doing the same thing, or something worse. Examine yourself, and clean up your own act before you can correct someone else.

That leads me to my next point in scripture:

John 7:24

24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

This is where many people get confused. Calling someone “ugly” because of their appearance is clearly an unrighteous judgement. That person may not uphold your standards of what “beauty” is, but they are probably very spiritual, charitable, and holy. That’s what matters to God.

If I tell you that something that you are doing (cursing, the use of witchcraft, astrology, yoga, etc) is not of God, I am judging you righteously.

The funny thing is, the main people who asks this question (Who are you to judge?) or quickly quote the scripture written above, are the one’s who judge people the most. “She’s ugly”, “I don’t like her”, She’s a b****”, She’s a h**”, “He’s a bad father”, “He’s lame”, “He’s gay”, and the list can go on and on. Yes, little comments like that, are considered judging (and unrighteous ones at that)

What is righteous judgement?

James 5:19-20

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

In other words, if you see that someone is straying from Jesus’ path, you are to correct their error and get them back on track. Keep their soul from being cursed.

I have been told that I can’t use the bible to condemn others. For one, if you feel that the bible is condemning you, then maybe you are not righteous. For two, the bible says in II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

So I say, to those of you who believe that someone is trying to use the bible to condemn you………….

II Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray continually

James 13:25 Grace be with you all, Amen.
